Vineyard Description
This 100 acre vineyard is located off Dry Creek Road on the valley floor and borders the banks of Dry Creek itself. The soil composition of this vineyard is Yolo Sandy Loam and the clone is 01EH. Our particular block was farmed so that there was an extensive amount of leaf pull at the basal leaf zone to filter in plenty of sunlight to the cluster.
Winemaker Notes
This Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc was made is a traditional Sauternes style. Our goal in this wine was to have a harmonious balance between acidity, sweetness and complexity. To attain this goal, we picked the fruit at 32 brix, which is not too ripe, keeping the integrity of the vineyard.
